ABOUT THE SUMMIT /

As past summits at Brown University and the collaboration between the University of North Carolina: Chapel Hill and Duke University, a team of Spelman College students and a Morehouse College student hosted a 3rd Annual Summit on Homelessness Poverty: Disruption in October 2-4, 2020.

The team of students is hosting a smaller-scale event in Spring 2021. The Mini Summit on Homelessness and Poverty at Spelman College will be on April 9-10, 2021. Events will include a testimony from a previously homeless mother, a guest lecturer with eviction research experience, and student-led video screenings and discussions. This event is co-sponsored by the Bonner Office of Civic Engagement and the Social Justice Program.
